Suzanne Ilene Schiller is a Member in the Firm's Commercial Litigation Group who concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate and complex civil litigation. Bringing a focused eye to each client and an aggressive approach to each case, Ms. Schiller has successfully represented Fortune 100 companies, leading shopping center owners, commercial real estate developers, big box tenants, building contractors, and municipalities such as the City of Philadelphia .

Known for her creative strategies and client responsiveness, Ms. Schiller handles a wide range of disputes from claims arising from the development, construction and leasing of commercial real estate to proceedings to prevent uncontrolled labor activity from interfering with business activities. Outside of the real estate arena, Ms. Schiller's recent engagements have included the defense of a regional bank in an action alleging negligent account handling and representation of an international steel manufacturer in an action alleging interference with business relations.

Ms. Schiller has litigated on behalf of her clients in numerous venues, representing parties in jury and non-jury trials in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and pre- and post-trial evidentiary hearings. In addition, Ms. Schiller has briefed to and argued before many appellate courts, including the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Court (from the United States Bankruptcy Court), the California Supreme Court and the California Court of Appeals.

A member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, Ms. Schiller is a frequent speaker at industry trade conferences and a regular author on real estate issues for industry publications such as Commercial Leasing Law and Strategy, on whose editorial board she sits. Passionate about the arts, she is also a member of the Corporate Partners of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, the Board of Governors of The Print Center, and the Board of Directors of the Spector Gadon & Rosen Foundation. In addition, her love of travel has led Ms. Schiller to explore more than thirty-five countries and all seven continents.

Ms. Schiller is a 1983 graduate of Bennington College and served on the College's Board of Trustees from 1992 to 1996. She received her J.D. in 1987 from Hastings College of the Law, where she was Executive Technical Editor of Comm/Ent: Hastings Journal of Communications and Entertainment Law. She was admitted to practice in California in 1987, Pennsylvania in 1993 and New Jersey in 1997.
