Bruce L. Thall brings over thirty-five years of litigation experience to Spector Gadon & Rosen in the firm's Commercial Litigation Group. By combining his concentration in constitutional law with a focus on environmental law, Mr. Thall has successfully litigated nationally recognized cases challenging various state and local regulations, fees, taxes and statutes hoarding or precluding the flow of commerce among states. He has challenged such regulations on behalf of waste disposal companies, transportation/hauling companies, consumers and producers of goods among a wide range of clients. Mr. Thall's broad-based background also includes experience in other areas of constitutional law, including the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, Tenth, Eleventh, and Fourteenth Amendments to the Constitution as well as the Ex Post Facto, Privileges and Immunities, and Contract Clauses of the Constitution.

Mr. Thall also is active in Spector Gadon & Rosen's reinsurance practice, and has arbitrated successfully issues arising under Quota Share Insurance Agreements and Treaties.

Prior to joining Spector Gadon & Rosen, Mr. Thall was a partner with Abramson, Freedman & Thall (Philadelphia, PA) and with Sprague, Creamer & Thall (Philadelphia, PA), where he directed a complex civil, criminal and grand jury practice, including antitrust, civil rights, RICO, healthcare fraud, medical malpractice (plaintiff and defense), mail and wire fraud, defamation, and general business litigation. He continues to practice in these areas. Mr. Thall was previously Deputy Director of the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia and an Assistant and First Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice in Delaware, which honored him with two Special Achievement Awards. He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Caleb R. Layton, III of the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

Mr. Thall has been admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth and Seventh Circuits, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He has also been admitted pro hac vice to 12 other U.S. District Courts, and in state courts as well.

Mr. Thall earned a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law and a B.A. in history and music from Williams College.
